Active Member of the Shoalhaven Liquor Accord Promoting safe and responsible service for the consumption and sale of alcohol. The Shoalhaven Liquor Accord is a voluntary, pro-active agreement detailing strategies to improve safety and security in and around licensed premises, reduce alcohol related harm and promote the responsible service and consumption of alcohol. The Husky Pub took part in the Accord's STAND Women's Project (Safer Times Around Nowra's Districts) to assess the safety of the Pub with issues being raised such as lighting, spiked drinks, professional security and safe transport away from the Pub. The new owners of the Pub implemented all of the report's recommendations. The Husky Pub continues to work with the Shoalhaven Liquor Accord to promote a better and safer hotel, playing a responsible and committed role in the community. The Accord was credited and publicly praised in the Liquor and Gaming Bulletin for March 2004.
