The Executive of The Huskisson Chamber of Commerce The Husky Pub is an active member of the Huskisson Chamber of Commerce and is on its steering and executive committee. Huskisson was the first mainland coastal town to become plastic bag free, a fact that has generated it enormous national and global publicity. It has been reported extensively on ABC Radio and TV, Today Tonight, The Sydney Morning Herald and Australian newspapers and AAP and Reuters international media services. The town had ninety-two commercial outlets but serves 750,000 tourists per year. All of the town's business have become plastic bag free and, as a leading business and employer in the town, The Husky Pub has supported this proposal whole heartedly.
